Following an extensive search and much interest in the role, the Newport Power Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Ziggy Kadour as our Senior Coach for Season 2018.

Anthony Daniel, Club President, said “Ziggy was a standout applicant that ticked every box in terms of what we are seeking in a senior coach and will no doubt lead by example in creating a culture we desire at our Club.”

Ziggy started his football career at Newport Power Auskick when he was 7 years old. He played his junior football at Power before being selected to play U18 football for AFL Victoria’s Western Jets. Following a season at Port Melbourne, Ziggy’s football career has predominately been at Clubs in the inner west. Ziggy describes his high lights as playing in the 2012 Premiership at Altona and captaining the Newport Power Seniors in their inaugural premiership season in 2018.

Putting in place the foundations to build enduring success as a Club is high in Ziggy’s priority list as Senior Coach. “I’m aiming to create a fun, inclusive culture at the Club that the Newport community can be proud of and want to be a part of”, said Ziggy.

Preseason recommences on Mondays and Wednesdays from 31 January 2018. All are welcome to come and be a part of it, at Langshaw Reserve, Altona North from 6pm.

Ziggy can be contacted on 0412 445 646.
